One of my favourite places in London!! Michelin star restaurant nestled in garden nurseries, surrounded by antique scandinavian furniture. The cafe here also serves lunch, and the most amazing cakes...pricey but totally worth the walk. You can walk from our house - approx 45min. Or park down by Marble Hill Park and hop on the on-demand ferry across to Ham House and walk back up along the river from here....great afternoon adventure!

Parks & Nature

It's a short drive away (10min) or a 45 minute walk. Its a National Nature reserve, it has herds of Red and Fallow dear and amazing views over Central London. Don't miss Pembroke lodge for afternoon tea and a peak at King Henry's Mound, which had a view of St. Paul's Cathedral which has been faithfully preserved by generations of landscapers who have created a tree-framed sightline from the mound to the dome. The view is now protected and no new building is allowed to impede it. Down the back of Pembroke lodge is a great kids playground with a large sandpit, you can park at Pembroke lodge for free and walk down or park near Petersham nurseries and gain access to kids park from there.

Great park for kids to run wild, small cafe serving tea and coffee in the park. Down Orleans Road is a purpose built play area for kids, next to the river with views across to Ham House. You can catch the on-demand ferry across the river for 50p!!

Stunning gardens....loved by young and old. You can easily spend a day here. If you have young ones, the badger set is great, creepers and climbers and the tree walk for slightly older ones.
