This Japanese restaurant is loud and fun and so, so delicious. Go with a group and order small plates to share. (I've also gone here on dates, so, you do you.)

Drinks & Nightlife

Amazing beer selection, lots of good non-alcoholic options too. Patrons are encouraged to bring in their own food if they want to. It's got a real laid back local crowd, and it's owned by my oldest friend!

DDL is the most underground venue in this city and I can't believe it's on the Air BnB list! All the weird poetry readings and the obscure musicians from Berlin play here. It's also in the heart of Kensington market so if you can't find it because it's entrance is down an alley and has no sign, you'll still find something to do.

Parks & Nature

This park is big and has lots of old trees that keep it cool during the summer. It's also got a skate park, a bike polo rink, skating rink, fire pits for groups to rent, a soccer field, huge play area for kids, live theatre (Clay & Paper), a farmers' market on Thursday, a community meal on Fridays, etc. It's the best!
