Drinks & Nightlife

The Port Hunter is a seasonal restaurant serving dinner & drinks from May thru October. They are fortunate to know a few farmers and fisherman, which puts the focus of our food on what's around us. Chef Jeremy Davis crafts these materials from the earth and sea into a fresh, eclectic and oft changing menu committed to bringing the very best our island has to offer. They also work with artists from near and far who bring some great tunes and happy times on the regular. They are a smaller place and do not take reservations or seat groups larger than 10.

Parks & Nature

Nestled within Chappaquiddick Island on Martha's Vineyard, emerald-like, is the intimate Japanese-style garden, Mytoi, which offers natural serenity and a place of contemplation to visitors who venture here. Sheltered by a lovely pine grove, the preserve includes a small pond and island, non-native and native flowers and plants, footpaths leading past a birch walk and stone garden, and a trail winding toward Poucha Pond and the salt marsh.

The sand is soft and not rocky, there is a volleyball net and I simply enjoy watching people play a competitive match of volley and the waves. It's fun for kids and adults!

Sightseeing

he Aquinnah Cliffs — formerly known as Gay Head — is one of Martha's Vineyard's most-visited tourist spots, with bus and bike tours congesting the paved roads in the peak summer season. But the epic clay cliffs — carved by glaciers millions of years ago — are worth the trek. Visitors can explore the lower beach paths to see the cliffs up close and stretch along the sands at Moshup Beach. Or take the upper trails to the top of the cliffs to catch a glimpse of Gay Head Light and nearby Elizabeth Islands.
