Sow and Piglet is a newly opened boutique brewery, currently located inside the Port Campbell Hostel. The German brew master is an expert who learned the art and craft of beer making in Berlin. There are various types of beer - for example a fruity IPA, a light Koelsch and a dark Dunkel - all brewed in a traditional way without any chemicals, using local ingredients where possible. Currently they are licensed to serve beer from 4pm to about 10pm but this is likely to change soon. They are expanding and are looking for bigger premises at the moment as they are fast out-growing their current rooms.

Walk along the boardwalk of the Gellibrand River and take a stroll along the Gellibrand where the river meets the sea. The beach is beautiful and if you are lucky, you'll only have to share it with the odd fisherman on the shores. The wild ocean is not good for swimming but the beach is a beautiful place for sunbathing and the Gellibrand forms a lake that's nice for a splash around.

A beautiful easy walk/hike amongst the most amazing free ferns. Enjoy the lush vegetation - green as far as the eye can see. At night when the sun has completely set, the glow worms come out and light up the forest. Be patient - they only switch on their little lights when it's completely dark. The best spot to see them is right at the end of the walk way at the platform next to the little creek. Make sure to bring your torches! The kids might be interested to know that the glow worms are the larvae of flying insects that switch on the lights to attract other insects as their food. They make tiny little bead like chains (1-2 cm long) where they hide behind. Their prey gets attracted by the light and caught in the chain (similar to what a spider does with its web). If you shine a torch near the glow worms, you might see those fine bedlike treads.

Bay of Martyrs is a lovely spot to go for a walk that leads you past the Falls of Halladale lookout along a cliff top walk. You'll be walking past an Aboriginal midden site where the Karrae Wurrong people used to gather to eat shellfish they collected from the sea. Please note that the full walk way may not always be accessible due to coastal erosion. If that is the case, there is another car park further along that will allow you to explore the other side of the closed off area.

Ride your mountain bike and bring a picnic along the 34 km Timboon-Camperdown Rail Trail. The most scenic stretch is around the Curdies river, where you can see old trestle bridges along the narrower path, leading through the forest. Also horse riding is allowed here but this particular section would be a bit tricky to navigate with a horse. You can also rent a mountain bike or e-bike with RIDE WITH US
