If you don't have a car, an easy and scenic 10 minutes walk along the Gardiners' Creek Trail gets you to the Glen Iris train station. From there, you reach the city (Flinders Street station and Federation Square) in 20 minutes. By car, the Monash Freeway entrance is around the corner and you find yourself in the city in 10 minutes (off peak).
