I go here a lot and every time i do, i say to myself, "I should come here more." Then i pay the bill, and is always, always less than i thought is would be, so then i say again "I should come here more!"
I've never had a bad dish, but sure, some things are better than others. I challenge anyone to order the Calamari salad and not be delighted, same goes for the Miso Cod.

Olympic Provisions is one of the most pleasant dining experiences i have had in Portland. I have been there several times, and everything has been consistently excellent - it's a sure thing.
The whole menu is delicious but if i had to pick a fave dish, I would say, the Choucroute garnie and the Radicchio are true winners. The other night i asked the waitress a question about ice-wine and her answer was super impressive and knowledgeable - I'm not even sure if ice-wine is on the menu.
I'm curious to try their brunch..

This is my neighborhood cafe. There are more chic places, but this is where the locals go. Its got a little bit of a cafeteria vibe, and its not as fancy (i.e. snooty) as the other coffee shops in the area. A cup of coffee is 2$ and you can sit there and refill it all day. They also have great pastries and some thing called "monkey buns" try one!

I love this neighborhood staple. Its even good for aroma therapy, and there is always good live music.

The main thing that made me want to move to portland was jogging around the Bridge Loop. If you are a jogger, or a walker, head to the Hawthorne Bridge and go for a stroll down to the steel bridge and back Stop for a coffee on the way.

This place is actually a restaurant, but if you are like me and not rich, its nicer as a bar. Their drinks are amazing and cost about 10$. There is one made with beet juice. I love it!
