Food Scene

The owners and staff are great, we suggest walking down early and watch the ocean from the dining room. Pizza is good and the garlic knots sauce is even better.

Sightseeing

Please take a family walk down to 29th St PL E and then across the bridge to the Oak Island Rec Center. View the canal from both sides and plan your kayak adventure. Return by walking further down E Oak Island Dr towards Middleton and cross back over at 19th or 9th St Scenic Bridges. Beautiful at sunset and expect to see many types of birds, deer, pigs, and if you're lucky a gator!

City advice

Don't miss

Kayaking in the canal

When standing on the dock if the water is flowing to your left the tide in the canal is rising. If the water is flowing to the right the tide is going out. This cycle is roughly two hours behind the ocean! If you choose to venture out in the kayaks, please start your trip paddling into the tide so you can return to the dock and ride the tide back. It is also much more enjoyable when the tide is higher vs lower so plan trips accordingly!
