If you're specifically looking for touristy & traditional, authentic German food-- and local Kölsch "bier" look no further. With views over the Dom, it's the most worth it of the german touristy spots. But I prefer Metzger & Marie for something similar but less expected ;-)

Highly, HIGHLY recommend, if you want to bypass the "touristy" German brauhaus experience, definitely try Metzger&Marie - it's a modern twist on traditional German food (in our opinion, so much better). Call in advance for a reservation.

For the best atmosphere during the summertime, visit Bali. Call in advance and try to sit outside. Try the ginger chicken, its so freakin good. Plus, the location is in the middle of the Belgium quarter, which is a beautiful spot to grab a beer afterwards and people watch through the evening.

Lock-up your love, or just go for a stroll over the Hohenzollern Bridge, to see all the millions of couples who already have...The views are pretty exceptional either way, and morning jogs over this bridge are more than worth it!

One of my favorite parts of the city during the summertime-- go for a stroll down the Rhein river, past the cute colorful houses in the Altstadt "old city" (grab a beer there to take in the scene) and then continue down to the harbour area. You can walk all the way to the Sudstadt.
