Bart's Deli is actually a restaurant, a deli, and a general store for some pretty good treats, basics and beer. The deli is wonderful, the people are friendly, helpful, and great conversationalists. They serve roast beef with all the trimmings on Friday evenings. Go early; eat in or take out.

Everything Else

A beautiful drive of 30+ miles through the mountains. If you're lucky, you'll see a moose. Try not to hit one. It's kind of like running into a semi with a sedan. The Swift River runs alongside, and there are spots where you can freeze your buns in it if you so wish.

Sightseeing

The Cog Railway was the first mountain-climbing cog railway in the world. The train takes you to the top of Mt. Washington. And, yes, it also brings you back. It's something you should do at least once in a lifetime. You must read more about its fascinating history at www.thecog.com. The Cog is only a 30 minute drive from our house.
