One of the most beautiful views close to Searsport. On a clear day you can see Blue Hill, Acadia, all the islands in Penobscot Bay, the Camden Harbor...just gorgeous, gorgeous. Good hiking trails, but wear good hiking boots. It isn't a good hike for slippery sneakers. You can also just drive up, look around and drive down.

Getting Around

This is a godsend. Maine is a driving state. Hard to get around without a car, but we have found we can get from here to there with Concord bus lines. Particularly like the "Logan Express" from Searsport to Boston's Logan airport. We have used it dozens of times in order to avoid driving the four hours from the mid-coast to Boston.
