We mostly pass up Kimo's dining, for an evening out with top musical groups like Uncle Willy K performing live. Cover charge of $5/person and the drinks are not the cheapest, but the bar scene is lively and fun on Kimo's deck with the waves slapping underneath us and a tropical moon beaming overhead.

Suggest you make reservations. (There's bar seating if you go later to order the chef's plate menu.) The macadamia nut crusted fish had a mild tangy sauce we enjoyed and the steak plate was as good as we've found. Paired with a bottle of Rambauer chardonnay, a buttery favorite for us, the dining at the Hula Grill rates among best experiences on Maui.
