About an hour from the Farmhouse, biking the Virginia Creeper Trail is great fun and a great adventure (bring rain gear). Most folks begin their journey in Damascus (the center of the trail) where they pick up a shuttle to the top (Whitetop) for a casual downhill ride along pastures, over railroad trestles and the meandering Holston River.

Floating the New River is a must. The New is a beautiful, slow, meandering river and the best way to see it is from a kayak or canoe. Zaloo's canoes will help you plan your trip. Fun, fun, fun!
