Food Scene

Rustic, on the smaller side, ice cold draft beer, reasonably priced, simple but good pub fare. Sports events on TVs. High top tables, tables and booths - take your pick or sit at the bar. Indoor and, in the summer, outdoor seating options. Very low key and very reasonably priced. When everyone's in town, someone's always asking "can we do the Nun tonight". Can often get seated quickly.

The food is reasonably priced and excellent. The building is unpretentious, but that is a good thing in a sea-side town such as Chatham. Specializing in thin crust Neapolitan pizza, subs (chicken parm w/onions, peppers, black olives, salt and pepper is a favorite) and salads. Beer (cans) and wine (cans). Everything we have tried has been excellent. Indoor and outdoor seating. No wait service. Relaxing environment. Restrooms. Sub shop pricing for the best food in Chatham. Absolutely below the radar at its (just barely) in town location. Didn't know what to make of it. Took us six years to try it. Absolutely love it.

Drinks & Nightlife

A multi-generational restaurant/bar that is the center of Chatham night life. I've been told that everyone in Chatham met their spouse at the Squire. Keeps the family (21+) coming back to Chatham.

Essentials

Vey close by. We have never prepared a meal for a large gathering that did not require a last minute trip to Chatham Market. Chatham Market is a modern, clean, well stocked small grocery market. It is not a farm stand/novelty market. It's a bit pricier than the local Super Stop and Shop but when the meal is on the stove, being two minutes away instead of twelve makes all the difference. We are thankful to have Chatham Market so close by.
