Everything Else

"Our Place" is a new container complex with street style food, and craft/design pop-ups stores. Music and events are often hosted there. My good friends have a container there where they sell their home-made ice-cream. It is called 'East Coast Ice-Cream' and they do some awesome flavour combinations with all natural locally sourced ingredients.

McLaren Falls Park conatins rockpools, a couple of wateralls, a lake, cafe, farm animals, BBQ tables and park-like grounds. Good for a walk, explore and great for picnics or BBQs in the summer months. The rockpools at the entrance make a good spot for a swim (particularly for the kids). There are glow worms to see after dark up the Water Fall Track, or you can take a Night Glow Worm Tour on kayaks.

Take a walk up (approx 45-50 mins to the top); or around (approx. 45 minute loop) the Mount. Great views from the top, but also lovely scenery if you just want to go around. It can get very busy over the peak season.

Sightseeing

Just a 5 - 10 minute walk to the end of Leisure Island. When the surf is big the blow-holes can be impressive. When I was young there was a waterslide complex on the island (disbanded many years ago) - hence it still being referred to locally as Leisure Island.
