There you also have "Vålandsskogen", a wood with walking paths. From here you can continue walking directly to "Mosvatnet", a lake with a nice walking path all the way around (ca 3 km).

A nice place to walk among the houses. You can also stop for a coffee at the café "Brostein". Gamle Stavanger (Old Stavanger) is on the west side of the Stavanger harbour and consists of 173 wooden houses that were built in the end of the 1700s and the beginning of the 1800s. Good coffee, good food in an old wood house. Also have small art exhibitions. A nice place to sit outside with a coffee or wine in the summertime. I recommend trying the chocolate cake!
