There's nowhere else like it...a fantastic way to gain a perspective of the city. Almost 2 miles, about 3km in length, they were constructed by the Romans and now they are the most complete Roman and medieval defensive town wall system outside of Italy. Given they are so old, there is often repair work going on! There is something very special about exploring the nooks, crannies and towers.
