Our nightlight is away from the city lights which enables us to see star constellations including the milky way, the southern cross and the saucepan. The full moon shining on the coral sea is magical.

On the front beach there are picnic facilities, a water playground and skate park. Bowen was used to film parts of the movie "Australia", with cast members enjoying the delights made at the Jochem's bakery.
