Housed in a 14th Century building - previously playing host to a toffee factory and a jazz bar - it has spent the better part of the last century as a restaurant. Food is slightly pricier than other places but worth it. Need to book early as it gets packed.

A family run pub. beautiful thatched roof (which dates from 1320). It is very dog friendly. Good food. Very popular with locals. Sunday lunch good. Music wednesday and sunday. Check out their website. Lovely spot too.

Fab veggie food. Relaxed atmosphere. Now opens a couple of evenings a week too. A 100% vegetarian self-serve buffet located across the street from Seeds 2 Bakery (also 100% vegetarian). Also coffees, teas, baked goods from the parent bakery. You pay one amount and can top up your plate if still hungry.

Lovely flat walk along the River Dart. Fab views along the river. Benches dotted along the path to sit and take in the views. This is also where you catch the Ferry to Dartmouth.

side entrance of Leechwell Garden, on the site of an
ancient orchard, with its sunny herb garden, pergola,
wide expanse of lawn, a series of rock pools, public art
and a large play structure for 5-12 year olds.
Work is under way to improve the scheduled immersion
pool and its surrounds. Leech Well, with its three
troughs, is the source of water in the pool and stream,
and is said to be one of the most ancient wells in
Devon. It can be found further along Leechwell Lane
after leaving the Garden.
