Afton is KNOWN for Selma's, which has been around through many owners over decades. The current owners have turned back the clock, have great ice cream and old fashioned candy shop.

In the summer... there's a mountain bike trail. It's tough, and costs $8 so I haven't done it but others seem to like it.

16777 7th St NRent boats, and spend the day on the St. Croix river.
Stillwater is up river about 10 miles and has lots of shops, restaurants, bars. It's a working town and a tourist destination. Fun to walk along the streets and check things out.
