great connector between Stevens Ave and Forest Ave. - I often walk through here to get thai food or lobsters - lots of dog walkers - the land was given to Portland by a prior Governor Baxter who was very environmentally conscious and donated quite a bit of land to Maine including Baxter State Park, Baxter Isle for the Deaf (another great walk all ocean front), Baxter Blvd (another great walk 5K super popular) and others

not exactly a park it's part of Portland Maine. You can take a 20 min ferry boat ride to get there. Tons of fun, you can walk or bike (bikes available for rental) majestic ocean view around the walking loop on Seashore Ave., great old army fort to explore (see link below), lots of deer, some restaurants and shops ... Very few cars so thats great too. http://wjbq.com/this-forgotten-world-war-ii-fort-on-peaks-island-is-open-for-underground-exploring/
