Albenga
C'è la Coop, poco prima di entrare in città sulla sx arrivando da Colletta. Il centro storico è meraviglioso, pieno di luoghi da visitare e di bellissimi localini dove fare una sosta.
The petrol station is not here anymore, while the Snack Bar remained instead, just at the junction before the bridge leading to the village of Colletta.
But the main reason you have to remember this place is the well-known Pizzeria called "Dumme". Cheap and good pizzas.
Anyway, several petrol stations are placed near the Shopping Centre "Le Serre" along the road leading to Albenga, about one kilometer after the roundabout of the motorway toll.

It could be the perfect set of a movie about the Middle Ages!

Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena
it is one of the most beautiful villages in Liguria. It is a place that deserves a visit to appreciate an authentically ancient village, still well preserved and protected. A large number of foreigners, especially from northern Europe, found their summer home here. The village is dominated by the imposing bulk of the castle, which is visible from many kilometers away. It could be the perfect set of a movie about the Middle Ages!
"Bar Neva" is a Snack Bar/Restaurant which is located right on the corner of the main square of Cisano.
It is very well known among the 'climbers tribe' for being the main point of reference where sharing information and tips about all the crags of the valley. You can also taste lovely appetizers and good snacks of ham and cheese with beer/wine for an inexpensive price.
It provides also a quality restaurant service. Pasta with mussels made it famous among those who spend the summer vacation closeby. Given that only fresh products are served, you'd better book in advance.
The place should be definitely among your main reference!

40 Via C. Colombo"Bar Neva" is a Snack Bar/Restaurant which is located right on the corner of the main square of Cisano.

There is also a Bank with a cash dispenser on the outside.
It is worth also taking a walk in the tiny historical center, dating back to the Middle Age, lying along the rocky riverside of an impetuous creek running across a terrific landscape.

Cisano sul Neva
The village of "Cisano sul Neva" is about 10 km far from the village, along the main road leading to Albenga and the seaside. Definitely, it is the best place where having a cool and relaxing breakfast before driving on to the beaches. There are grocery stores (also having different stuff), a butcher, a confectioner's shop and two Snack Bars one of which selling also cigarettes and newspaper. There is also a Bank with a cash dispenser on the outside.
It is worth also taking a walk in the tiny historical center, dating back to the Middle Age, lying along the rocky riverside of an impetuous creek running across a terrific landscape.
Surely, the largest and most supplied supermarket is the ‘Ipercoop’, within a big shopping center (called ‘Le Serre’) located about one kilometer distance from the motorway tollgate, direction Albenga. As soon as you exit the highway, you find yourself at a roundabout. Turn right and follow the riverside. You will have to pass two roundabouts, and keep following the river. On your left you will see the large parking-lot to access to the shopping center. An underground parking is also available.

The entrance to the village is still today guarded by the medieval tower and the main road that crosses the whole of the village to the opposite end, has been restored and very well preserved. It is worth taking a walk.
Arriving from the seaside, it is possible to find a large car park located almost at the end of the village, along the road that runs along the river on the opposite side to the town. A recently built wooden bridge starts from the parking lot and leads you to the square of the pizzeria "Usteria du Burgu". In summer it is a pleasant place to spend cool evenings and taste excellent pizzas and other dishes.

Interesting walking paths start from this refuge and lead into the woods and grasslands on the peaks. If the weather is good, you may enjoy a terrific view of the sea!
The refuge is also the right place where having something to drink with a snack or having lunch as well - valley food products only.
When the heat of summer becomes annoying it is certainly the best place to spend your days. It is certainly a fantastic place for those who love mountain excursions and nature walks.
As for the High Way of the Ligurian Mountains, it consists in thousands of kilometers of trails and mule tracks, passable all year round, which connect the ends of the Ligurian Riviera from Ventimiglia to Ceparana, from the Province of Imperia to the Province of La Spezia.

SP216it is a wonderful place, just nearly on the top of the mountains that crown this valley, located along one of the oldest routes that connects the peaks of the whole Apennine arch, called "Alta via dei monti liguri" (High way of the Ligurian mountains)
Interesting walking paths start from this refuge and lead into the woods and grasslands on the peaks. If the weather is good, you may enjoy a terrific view of the sea!
The refuge is also the right place where having something to drink with a snack or having lunch as well - valley food products only.
