The make the best coffee but what is even better is they transform into an intimate bar and live music venue on Friday nights and Sunday afternoon. Kick back with a reasonably priced cocktail or glass of wine and some funky tunes.

Coffee is delicious and I'm a sucker for cappuccinos sprinkled on top with real grated chocolate. Also breakfasts and lunches are delicious.

Just a hop, skip and jump from our place. The best traditional Italian restaurant in the area. Great wood-fired pizzas and lovingly hand made pasta dishes. They do take-away from their menu as well!

The best selection of interesting wine, beer, ciders and spirits. The guy who run Craft really know their stuff. Ask their advice and you will be rewarded with something to drink that is different and off the beaten track.

The best French patisserie in the area. Amazingly delicious French pastries and traditional sourdough breads. The best almond croissants I have eaten. Also the most intricate French cakes - a sight to behold and eat too!! They serve a nice coffee as well.

Very quirky café for those who love cats. At street level is a cute coffee shop with lovely little florist at the back of the café and lots of things to buy that are printed with cats, in the shape of cats , etc etc. But book in to go to the downstairs coffee shop area and you can cuddle lots of cats while you have a cuppa or a cake. All the cats are available to be re-homed. So you can try before you buy! Great idea for finding new homes for unloved pussycats. I've taken my little girl there just for fun! Children must be age 7 or over the cat cuddle café owners tell me.

The best gourmet food store in this part of town. Has it's own gourmet delicatessen and bakery inside the store. Also lovely flowers and kitchenware items. If you are looking for a gourmet ingredient for that special recipe chances are they will stock it!

Lovely old theatre which now houses an antiques market. Great for a wander around and to look at lots of lovely old things. Make sure you look up when you step inside the main area of the antique market and have a look at the old theatre ceiling.

This is my husband's favourite hang-out for drinks and a fun vibe with great music. Its a bar but also a music venue and with a decent southern american food menu to boot. Lefty's Old Time Music Hall has been described as a lavish honky tonk saloon meets bordello conveniently beamed up from the deep south of 19th century America. My hubby agrees with this description and he thinks it's the best music venue this side of town.
