Great photo opportunity, breathtaking views, good surfing and sandy walking beach. For those who like a challenge, you can walk along well kept tracks up to Castle Rock, which often features in calendar photo shoots. There is also a small golf club on the way, if you need a good warm up!

Also has golf club, small creek for kayaking, friendly local dairy and cafe, toilets and children's park. Wonderful walkway allows coastal views from Riversdale all the way up to Castlepoint.

Private vehicle required as well as appropriate hiking gear. Be wary of weather as it is very changeable in this hilly area. Well marked walking tracks through native bush. Expect inclines and very cool waters in the rivers and creeks. Toilet and camping facilities available.

Mini Putt and Crochet Club operate within the regions of the park, on Dixon Street. It provides many places to stop and eat/drink or photograph views. A children's play area is also on Dixon Street. Gardens surround a lake, the cemetery and sports grounds are at the rear of the park. A bowling club is in the same area of the park. The Lake House is a cafeteria on site. Paddle boats are available in the summer season. You can also enter the park from Park Road, particularly if parking is an issue on Dixon Street. There is limited parking within the park on Dixon Street, opposite the swimming pools. You may see a cricket match on the oval in the centre of the park, during summer months.
