Parks & Nature

You can walk this or bike it, I usually jog it. I leave the house going right, to a right on Old colony Terrace where you come out at Morrissey Boulevard. I go a little left, and cross at the intersection over to UMass Boston. The trail/path goes around the school along the water, and behind the JFK museum. I turn around at the second dock, (round trip is 3-1/2 miles) but you can continue on to Castle Island, which is 5 miles from my house. Very Scenic ocean views. you can see more if you copy and paste this link to your browser-http://bikeitorhikeit.org/boston_harborwalk.htm

Built to evoke a 15th-century Venetian palace, the museum itself provides an atmospheric setting for Isabella Stewart Gardner's inventive creation. Gardner hired Willard T. Sears to design the building near the marshy Back Bay Fens to house her growing art collection.[3] Inside the museum, three floors of galleries surround a garden courtyard blooming with life in all seasons.

This store is at the JFK T stop. I sometimes stop here on my way home from work, pick up a few things and walk the rest of the way home. They have a pretty good selection of prepared food, and have a pharmacy as well.
