My favorite chinese take out! I'm a vegetarian and they provide great options. When I ate meat, I always ordered the General Tao chicken! They deliver or you can also walk over and sit in. Very affordable!

Wonderful south-east Asian foods, reasonable prices. My favorites are the papaya salad and the spicy shrimp soup.

If you love wine like I do, Loic is a great place to visit. 5 minutes by foot to the apartment! A bit pricey, but they make wonderful cocktails and always have an extensive privately imported wine selection. They also serve food until 11pm!

This place has a lot to offer! Brunch on the weekends, a bar and restaurant every day of the week, and live jazz on Wednesdays! they also have a DJ on fridays occasionally. They make unique meals and cocktails and also have a very nice wine selection. (not very budget friendly)

Parks & Nature
I am including this not so much for the lake, but for the lookout. You will need to park your car in the lot and walk about 4-5 minutes to get to the lookout, but it's well worth it. It's a beautiful view of the city, day or night. There are even some friendly, chubby raccoons you can feed a few snacks to.

If you're vising with a group, or know some locals, Laser Quest is a really fun and inexpensive activity! i think it rings in around $7 per game, per person.
