Maybe the best ribs (cattle, not pork) you will eat in your life. They are famous for this plate, and serve it in nearly every table. The place is always packed, but fairly expensive. Worth it, though

A cheaper option of 'all you can eat' steak house very near the apartment. Quality is not nearly close to Vento Haragano, though good, but price is much lower. Worth to try it if want to save a bit!

A bakery one block away from the apartment. Great option for breakfast... Please eat the "Pão de Queijo" (cheese bread), mini version sold by kilo. Very typical brazilian dish, very very nice!

This bar is the one that stays open the latest hours in Vila Madalena. I've seen it open up to 6am!!! It offers nothing special in terms of food or drinks, but it's always packed! People love it!

Every Saturday there is a fair here called Benedicto Calixto Fair. It is a small version of the San Telmo fair in Buenos Aires, and runs during the entire day. Must visit!!! Locals love it!
