Fairly new to Taunton so have not eaten here but had cocktails which were good. It's full of real plants rather than artificial which always gets my vote.

This is just around the corner and it's worth checking out what's on because they have had some great musicians. It's an art gallery as well.

Nicest Victorian Park I've been to and it's lovely to stroll around. Free tennis courts towards the back, after the children's play area. If you want a longer walk, go through the park, past the cricket and tennis courts and down the track. Over the first field and over the cattle grid into the second field. Cross slightly to the right and over the wooden stye. Make your way up the hill and follow the track. At the top look back over the view of Taunton. Carry on until you reach the road then turn right into the village of Trull. Here you will find the Winchester Arms-a local pub that serves good food. It is best to book to guarantee a table. This walk is approx 40 mins each way. There's another way back if you don't want to walk back the same way-ask a local!

It's the old Art College so I'm nostalgic about the building but also it's nice for a glass of wine, not sure about the food as I haven't eaten here in awhile.
