Everybody's favorite moment in Minneapolis is on the water. Rent a bike and take a spin around the shores of Lake Calhoun and neighboring Lake of the Isles. Feeling a bit more adventurous, rent a kayak from Tin Fish to take your tour from the water. These lakes are great for walkers or runners as well. Each lake is about 3 miles around and have great blacktopped run/walk paths.

located in the cute Linden Hills neighborhood. Tilia is just a couple blocks from Lake Harriett so it would be fun if you have an "active" group to go for a walk around the lake (approx. 3 miles) before or after your meal. It's american food, but o so delicious! They also have a spectacular brunch. It is VERY small so either call ahead or be prepared to settle up to the bar for a while.

this is a super fun place to go with a group of people. the meals are all from the "hot zones" around the globe - so part asian inspiration and mexican. It sounds weird but it is really excellent. We would recommend getting the mojitos if you like to drink, and getting an order of coconut pinneapple shrimp curry! So spectacular! This is a popular place to do some shopping also, so you might want to get to Uptown a bit earlier than your reservation if you want to shop.
