Best ice-cream bar in Copenhagen! The ice-cream is gelato inspired using fresh, ecological ingredients (local if possible), made in small portions in the back to secure freshness. Nuts are from Italy and they have their chocolate made in France. They have daily specialities - freshly baked cones or cups. Take away is possible too. Expect queues, but it will be worth it. https://ismageriet.dk

One of the best Indian restaurants in Copenhagen, right around the corner from home. Very vegetarian friendly and you have a choice of eating in (In the summer there are tables and chairs outside) or taking away. Recommended

While in Helsingør, don't miss this old-fashioned restaurant serving schnapps, beer and open sandwiches - if the weather is nice, don't miss sitting in the garden in the back. A good place to chat with the locals or friendly staff.

Getting Around

This is the station you get off at, from the Airport - on the way to the central Train Station. It's an important public transportation intersection, where you have a choice of metro or (local)trains to downtown (The Metro runs 24/7), the Central station or Sweden (a short train ride away). Why not take a day trip north along the eastern coast to Ordrupgaard, Louisiana, the deer Park, karen Blixen's House and of course Elsinore?

Parks & Nature

Enormous sanctuary for birds with plenty of opportunities for long bike rides, skating, jogging or long walks. The most interesting part is really SOUTH of the BIG building 8-Tallet - take the metro to Vestamager Station. You can spend days out there, and for the kids there is the interesting "Naturecenter Amager" with creative playgrounds and a cafe.

This is the place to take your kids to learn about the "elements" of nature. There are all sorts of creative nature walks and playgrounds, a cosy cafe and enough space to last you a lifetime. Part of a vast animal sanctuary (mainly birds - bring your binoculars)

Bring your picknick baskets and find a perfect spot with a view to the deers roaming free, or go to to the old amusement park "Bakken". Dyrehaven ('The Deer Park') is a forest park north of Copenhagen. It covers around 11 km2 (4.2 sq mi). Dyrehaven is noted for its mixture of huge, ancient oak trees and large populations of red and fallow deer. In July 2015, it was one of the three forests included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed as Par force hunting landscape in North Zealand. All entrances to the park have a characteristic red gate; one of the most popular entrances is Klampenborg gate, close to Klampenborg station
