Parks & Nature

If you're missing your fur baby back home, get a quick pupper fix at the Grape Street dog park! The park offers great views and has access to hiking trails.

If you're looking for a less crazy beach experience than those offered in OB/PB, check out Windansea beach. Nestled just south of the La Jolla cove, this stretch of beach is secluded with a rocky terrain with small cliffs (check out Google images to really get a feel). Note: Parking can be tough and you may need to walk down steps.

Drinks & Nightlife

A little tricky to find, but worth the search once you see the views of Petco Park! Great way to be a part of the action without going to the game. Even better if you are here for a concert, we came were 2 years ago before the Billy Joel show and got to hear him warm up!

One of our favorite music spots, this is an old movie theater converted to a music hall. They took out the seats but kept the original 1920's art deco vibe. They have shows here almost every night of the week, so check them out!

Whenever we rent paddle boards or kayaks out of Mission Beach, this is where we go for lunch! Warning: The ride over is always easier than the ride back due to the wind so proceed with caution. The ride back is made even more difficult if you had a cocktail or two with your meal :-)
