You can get there in an hour and take the bus to see all the falls. You can walk as little or as much as you want. You won't find a more awe inspiring spot than when you begin to enter the Valley through the tunnel in your car and see Half Dome. A MUST SEE!

Spectacular groves of giant sequoias, redwood trees, which can reach heights of 325 feet and diameters of 33 feet. Some trees are believed to be 2,000 years old. The North Grove has a level 1.5-mile self-guided trail. The five-mile South Grove Trail travels along Big Trees Creek and passes the park’s two largest trees — the Agassiz Tree and the Palace Hotel Tree.

Sightseeing
The town just east of us. It is very quaint. You can walk over the river on the cute covered bridge that is the largest covered bridge west of the Mississippi. There is an old jail, broken down brick buildings from the 1800's gold rush era. The building housed a power station and the mill . The town has an ice cream shop. An old bar and grocery store which is the oldest operating grocery store. The grocery store was built in 1849. There is also a restaurant called the River's Edge. A pretty place to eat overlooking the water. There is usually live country music on Friday. The food is good but the service really varies.
