Food Scene

Fun and Unique experience. Best Ribeye Steak in 500 miles. Reminiscent of the old rough and tumble cowboy camps that yearned for a bit of refinement! Looks like an old log cabin inside and out, with lace table clothes, linens and fine flatware and stemware. Bring your favorite bottle of wine - more than reasonable corking fee. Hosted by Bob Mussellman - a man of direct communication and a surly sense of humor. And a small piece of advice: Don't order the steak "well-done". Please tell him I said Hello!

Anasazi Indian Ruins abound. A 2 hour drive to some of the most complete and extensive ruins in the area. Just outside Cortez, CO. Excellent hiking trail at Spruce House ruins that is suitable for most families, with some great Petroglyph panels at about 2/3 the way through. Take water. It's a primitive trail and about a 3 hour round trip hike.
