If you like your nightlife you have to visit Fortitude valley. Its full of bars and restaurants. I can recommend Elixir Rooftop bar and Bar Eleven for rooftop cocktails. Pigs and Whistles is a nice pub. Fortitude Valley is also home to China Town, with full of Asian dining options. Remember most Asian food places are BYO wine. You just pay corkage per bottle.
