Food Scene

Fantastic Peruvian food with really nice decor and a great selection of pisco-inspired cocktails. All of their ceviche is great, but I highly recommend the Tacu Tacu, either veggie or Power versions.

This is a spectacular place as it is on top of the (somewhat) newly developed Rosewood Hotel. The hotel itself is gorgeous and you can walk around a lot of their grounds, while the rooftop tapas and bar have really good food and extraordinary panaramic views of the city. On Sundays, the hotel's buffet brunch is one of my favorite meals in the entire city and you are spoiled for choice.

Parks & Nature

Biggest park in the city, it is a fun place to people watch and walk around. Part of the year there is a plant/flower market, another time they are selling pottery on the basketball courts. You never quite know what you'll see there!

Very quiet park, great place to relax in the sun or shade and read a book. Close to where my parents stay, this is one of my favorite places to get out of the hustle of the city.

These are natural hot springs that have been formed into several pool areas and a grotto with mini-waterfalls. It is a great place to get a little bit outside of the city and enjoy some relaxation in the sun. They also serve food and drink here.

A beautiful building with a big interior courtyard, it often has art on display and sometimes has a market inside. There is also a restaurant attached that has live music occasionally. It is popular for weddings, as it has a great view to the parroquia.

This is my gym of choice, it's on the smaller side but I find all of the machines I need and the staff is very helpful and dedicated to their business. Rates are very reasonable, especially if you sign up for weekly or monthly discounts.
