AMAZING upscale Italian. They also have a courtyard for eating outdoors. Can't go wrong here (keep in mind it's pricey but worth it). You have to start with the Margharita pizza. Trust me.

Excellent tuscan Italian. Probably our very favorite on the Hill. It's a little farther down the road though so if you're looking to bar hop I suggest Sienna instead which is in the heart.

Fantastic coffee shop and bakery. Love this place. Sort of, kind of walking distance (like a New Yorker would totally walk here but my husband (suburbanite) would rather drive). But if you're on Hope Street, check it out.

Step back in time (with drinks in hand of course)!! This duckpin bowling alley was built in the 1920s by Hope Webbing Company in an effort to prevent employees from unionizing (I can't make this stuff up!). Everything is exactly as it was in 1920. Local high school kids hand stack the pins and roll the balls back your way (zero machinery). It's honestly the coolest place for drinks plus random sport!! Kid friendly during the day, more adult scene at night.

Just down the street, super laid back, even kid friendly. This is a straight up brewery and they are not trying to impress anyone with the place, just the beer. Sample some of their finest and play some board games or corn hole. I don't think they are open very late so check out their website maybe.

Well maybe not "hiking" trail but a beautiful trail all the same. Walking distance from our place, the blvd has a walking/running trail through the center with hundreds or mature trees and some pretty beautiful, old homes to check out along the way. 1.5 miles in either direction so you can get in a lovely 3+ mile walk/run any time of the day.

SIMPLY MARVELOUS! Providence is famous for Water Fire. Hundreds of fires are set on the Providence River that winds through downtown. Listen to live music, watch the live performers, take a gondola ride or river boat ride along the fires, have a glass of wine and just sit and enjoy the sights. Check online for the Water Fire schedule.

Take me out to the ball game...We love the Paw Sox and feel blessed that the stadium is just around the corner. This is a fantastic and inexpensive way to take the entire family to real ball game. Outfield seating is a thin strip of grass and great for kids. They are welcome to run around like crazy animals. Fireworks after most games!!!

Hop on the bike path literally at the end of Paris St. (our street) and follow the lane down Blackstone Blvd. It will take you through the east side and then along the water all the way to Bristol and Colt State Park. Over 15 miles each way. Relatively flat once you get to the water.
