Food Scene

Place where locals go which celebrates the Scottish history of Waipu. Great food (much more than pizza- eg try the mussel fritters) and the locally brewed craft beer. My favourite is the Great Migration IPA

A steep walk through lovely bush up an old volcanic outcrop with the most spectacular views of the Whangarei Harbour and adjacent beaches. Lots of steps! The drive around the Whangarei Heads is also very nice, especially when the tide is in.
