of a number of cool shops on the Spit. Homer teems with artists and craftsmen of many kinds. Food vendors, local honey, wild berry jams and jellies, veggies, jewelry, plants -- you name it.
For ultra art experiences, Bunnell Street Gallery cannot be beat. First Friday of the month is the gallery walk night, with snacks and artists present who are being featured at the various gallery venues. Lots of fun and a good people-watching time.
Check the local papers (out on Thursdays) for events, etc.

Homer Theatre on Pioneer Street - see their marquee for program. Been the only movie house in the area for ages, great screen and sound, quick movie turnover. Thursdays are often local benefit showings of various types. Old time small town movie house....for sale, by the way.....
