A 1.3 mile self-guided nature trail that meanders through the Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area before ending at an epic soundside beach. Access to the trailhead is at the far west end of the Aquarium parking lot. Prepare for mosquitos! There's another secret trail nearby, hiding behind Town Hall...shhh!

A private neighborhood park only a half a mile from the house that has a dock, kayak/SUP launch, playset and pavilion. There is a shallow sandbar and seagrass beds about 30 yards from the dock that you can swim or paddle to at low tide. This is also a popular fishing spot (NC saltwater fishing license required) and a great place to catch the sunset.
