Food Scene

One of Wellington's favourite restaurants and eateries. Great wine, with a cosy, romantic atmosphere. The menu is seasonal and offers great cocktails too. We love the crew at Egmont Street!

Hands down, the best American diner-style burger joint in Wellington. Our favourites are the smoked meat sandwich, double cheeseburger, pickled fries or the peanut butter milkshake. This place is popular so come before 6 pm, or be prepared to wait for a table.

Drinks & Nightlife

We love LBQ for two reasons; it is located so close on the ground floor of the OneStay building, and there is over one hundred beers on offer!

Sightseeing

Take a ride up Wellington's iconic cable car for a great view over the city and harbour, plus it is a sheltered ride from the wind! The last stop is the Wellington Botanic Gardens, a great place to take a walk back down to the city if you enjoy nature.

If you want to browse Wellington's more eclectic clothing, nick nacks and op shops then Cuba Street has it all. Head to Lambton Quay if you are looking for high-end labels or prefer department stores. In New Zealand, shops open 9 am and opening hours are limited on the weekend.
