Lovely old pub with a log fire making for a wonderful cosy atmosphere. Nice selection of ales and spirits. Leads onto a river walk with a hidden wee waterfall. Just South of Edinburgh but well worth the trip in good weather.

Fabulous, free, large museum with ever changing exhibits. Avoid the cafe's though...overpriced, understaffed and poorly laid out. Take a packed lunch instead or head out to Bobby's cafe or Rudi's on Forrest Road when you're done...
