Parks & Nature

Take a short hiking trail to Yacolt falls. There is also a great photo opportunity from the high arched bridge over an emerald pool in the river. Beyond the bridge, there is a lovely rails to trails walk or bike ride along the river. The trail is about 2.7 miles and ends at Hantwick Rd. near Lucia Falls Park. Access and parking is available at either end of the trail.

About 45 minutes drive from our cottage. It is an adventure to explore the third longest lava tube in North America. Lantern Rental available during summer. Expect snow in winter and Washington State Sno-Park Permit is required December 1 to March 31.
