It has over two hundred berths used by the towns local fishing fleet as well as pleasure craft, glass bottom dolphin watching tours, yachts and fishing charters. There is also a ferry service from the port to the nearby resort town of Benalmadena. There are many bars and restaurants adjacent to the port, serving both Spanish and International cusine. Shopping

The Fuengirola market is held in the Fair Ground in the town centre. The Tuesday market is a normal street market, very big. The Saturday market is a secondhand market, the biggest on the Costa del Sol, and great for finding odd stuff and souvenirs. Both markets close about 14:00 (2 pm). Be careful of pickpockets!
