St Clement’s is situated on Mercatoria in one of the oldest developed areas of St Leonards, which was built by James Burton between 1827 and 1837. The area is host to some beautiful architecture, including The Mount and The Uplands which were constructed by James Burton's son, Decimus, after his father's death. The restaurant is just around the corner from the wonderfully maintained St Leonards Gardens and its surrounding Victorian villas, and is a stone's throw from the art deco Marine Court and the unusual elevated promenade.
