Khao Rang is not very high but its located makes is fun to have a lunch or dinner break with a good bird view of what Phuket Town looks like from the top. Rang Hill used to be a fitness park, but obviously, has lost its popularity… All year round, people climb up there to admire bird views of the southern part of the island: Chalong, Panwa and even the Big Buddha sitting on top of its own hill.

Saphan Hin is a popular seaside park which has had a long relationship with islanders since the boom of tin mining years ago when it was a major trading port and the only beach located in Phuket Town. Saphan Hin is a common social get-together destination for everyone, from young children to parents to grandparents. It usually becomes alive in the late afternoon and night time. Its surroundings and atmosphere are quite pleasant with mature pine trees lining the main road, and lovely open spaces with grass and a walking/jogging track.

Phuket Philatelic (Post Office) Museum was Phuket's first post and telegraphic office and is located on Montri Road in Phuket. The facility has been renovated and upgraded into a philatelic museum, exhibiting old postal equipment, old phones, and old Thai stamps. A good place to take the kids and learn about Thailand's Postal Service history and have a relaxing day doing so.

If you are coming from Patong, Central lies on your left, before the main crossroads as you enter Phuket.
