Wonderful small-town atmosphere, great food, a wonderful place to end a day of sight-seeing. Kfar Tavor is also full of small jewels to visit - my favorite is the Marzipan Museum, but there is also a museum of early settlement, a winery, a shopping center, and several playgrounds.

Dgania is the first kibbutz established in Israel. Take a walk around the restored courtyard to get a feel for the hardy frontiersmen who started this groundbreaking movement. Also restaurant nearby.

If you like rambling places worthy of artsy photography, this is a quirky and lovely place to visit. Built by Templars at the turn of the last century, the historic area has recently been renewed. Also worth seeing is the trail going along the springs that used to provide water for the wool dyers in the region.
