“I stayed at Meyske's home as a single traveller guest for a 4-overnight trip and well, it was real special: Not only her house is extraordinary - especially the public living & dining area and this beautiful balcony - also I booked a 2 days tour which I was lucky that Meyske could take over herself. The day before was a funeral and because of Saturday also Buffulo Market and Meyske was so friendly to invite another guest and me for a lift by scooter - just as friends. thanks so much! Back to the tour: I joined Meyske on the back on her scooter too :-)) What a pleasure :-)) - 1st day South 2nd day Nord. Too much to tell for a short recommendation. Well, and in addition Meyske is so good connected: we also visited on a private basis families and their so called illness relatives. This included Meyske's professional knowledge: What an experience! Summary: really VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! And if you might think as me in the beginning tour seems a bit expensive please notice all entrance fee and gifts for the visited families was included and of course Meyske is surely one of the best guide you could find. Thanks again for all !!”

“My family of three (my husband, me, and our nine-year-old son) spent four nights with Yacob and his family, and we had a great time. It was so fun for my child to make friends with two Indonesian children close to his age, and in fact, Yacob's son was able to accompany us during one of our days exploring Toraja, with Yacob as our guide (we rented one of his motorbikes that my son and husband used and I rode with Yacob). It was a special treat to stay with an Indonesian family--we ate breakfast with them (simple things like pisang goreng--fried banana--and homemade cakes and coffee) and a couple of dinners, which were enjoyed sitting on a tarp on the floor in pretty typical fashion, and used a mandi for bathing. Yacob, Desi, Karin, and Kensel were super welcoming and kind. My husband and I had both spent a fair amount of time in Indonesia, so I felt like we knew what to expect from an Indonesian home; if you expect luxury, this is not for you. But if you want an authentic experience with a generous family who raise their own pigs and chickens and vegetables, don't hesitate to book!”
Two charming bamboo rooms with balconies from where you enjoy a splendid view of our organic farm and the Torajan mountains in the distance. The price includes 3 organic meals daily, snacks, fruit, coffee, tea and water. A private bathroom (traditional toilet and mandi) is located next to the bungalow.
“Natsirs place is so amazing and really unique!!! He treats his guests like family and loves to teach you aspects from his perspective and things about the culture and the life here. Hes a very smart and creative man and tries to improve the situation for the local people, especially for children who cannot go to school. Besides his free english school, he does a lot for the nature by farming organically, collecting rubbish in the surroundings or teaching people about taking care of the environment. The meals were so good, actually the best we had on our 2 months indonesia trip, because the food comes straight from his garden. If you want to experience a real and meaningful stay in Toraja, come here! You can help Natsir or the kids, or simply enjoy the nature with an amazing view and nature sounds.”
