Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Saimaa

The stay met our needs brilliantly. Guests included two dogs who enjoyed the outdoors in the fenced-in yard. The youngest guest was a 5-month-old baby with a travel crib ready. There was also plenty of level space in the bathroom, and the changing of the mantle went smoothly. I'm sure we'll book a stay again if we're on the go with a larger group of people.

Excellent place, greatly decorated and clean, make you feel at home straight away. The view and location is breathtaking. a piece of heaven. great for family and friends. ..the best Sauna experience that I had in Finland so far.

My husband thought it was so lovely and homey at Sirpa's place that could always live there! Definitely worth the price! For once, a cozy Airbnb apartment with no miraculous Airbnb tunes, it was just a normal and beautiful apartment. Everything was perfect for us and the little dog, also calm and good jogging terrain. Sirpa was a flexible and friendly host.

Lots of space by the water for our family of 5 and more. We especially love the row boats that were provided for fishing and just hanging out by the water. It was practical, simple and nostalgic that we get to sleep in a school. Kids adored the retired school gym and toys. Love line drying for laundry and just roaming around. Bring a lot of mosquito repellant and your own food to cook in the super well equipped kitchen. Tatiana is a very lovely and helpful host who brought us blueberries and strawberries. This place is a rare gem 🖤

We spent a nice weekend at Tarja's place. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the kitchen was well-equipped. The main house has a little smell of grandma, the sauna building didn't have this. The accompanying dog was allowed to run in the spacious fenced yard.

Beautiful quiet retreat on a lush island. Everything you need to relax and enjoy your time is provided. There was even a midsummer traditional treat waiting for us. Satu is kind and responsive. She makes sure her guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay. Highly recommend.

Charming little house. Very cozy place.

We stayed at the cabin for 1/2 week. The communication with the host was uncomplicated. The photos and other information describe the cabin well. The property is located around 6 km from the center of Kangasniemi and away. Directly from the cottage you can reach a recommended and marked forest path bike route from the tourist info (there is the plan), a nature trail for hiking can be found about 2-3 km south of the town center. For dance fans, the dance floor "Syvälahti" is a worthwhile destination on the weekend evenings. The instructions and notes in a folder in the cabin were helpful.

A great place to stay that perfectly matches the description and where you can spend some peace of mind. We'll definitely be back.

Very cozy cottage with no end of space: You can spend time in a spacious cottage, veranda, terrace, home, yard, beach, lake. From the yard sauna, a short walk to the beach, which, due to its depth and dark water, is not suitable for toddlers to swim. Beautifully decorated and put together that you wouldn't want to leave🙂.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this cottage! It was clean, spacious, and perfect for large groups. The place felt brand new, and the view of the lake was simply breathtaking. The BBQ area was the best we’ve ever had at a cottage, and we loved having a pool table to enjoy. The host was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The lake itself was large and beautiful, and rowing there was an unforgettable experience. The hot tub and sauna were also fantastic additions. Highly recommend!

Visa & Noora were very gracious hosts. They responded to messages very quickly and comprehensively. Their instructions were also extensive and varied. The place is really nice and quiet, so we got to ourselves. Very good for a large group with space for everyone and things to do! Strong recommendation for hosts and the listing!

The apartment was bigger than it looked! Also, there were 2 extra beds, so we didn't have to use sleeping - the sofa . The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom had enough toilet paper for the entire stay , there was air - conditioning , and also its own storage room by the bedroom. The bedroom was large !The apartment was centrally located in Hamina , with walking distance to everything we wanted to see. Dining, pubs , food - shops were in the immediate vicinity :) And there was a bouquet of flowers on the kitchen table when we arrived :)

Awesome place and great host. We had some problems with the electricity, but Teemu handled it quite fast - during the Christmas days.

It was nice and peaceful at Villa Anna. Everything you needed was found in the accommodation. the host was friendly and the visit left a good feeling. I recommend hosting to others.

The interior architecture and design are very well-representative of the countryside houses in Finland. There is a wonderful wood-burning sauna and two fireplaces to keep the house sufficiently warm. The kitchen has all the necessary tools and amenities for cooking. One thing to note though is that the fridge doesn’t have a freezer. The house is by a little picturesque hill with pines, birches and rocks covered in moss. On the side of the house, there’s a yard and a grilling side with a nice view to the open fields.

Very nice cottage in the woods and right on the lake, Arja is a very friendly hostess! We liked the sauna right on the lake best. Overall, we were able to experience a wonderful, unforgettable time in the Mökki and can only recommend the accommodation

The place was lovely! Beautiful scenery for idyllic seductive people. Peaceful and private setting! Rowing on the lake was comfortably done on a boat in use. The separate sleeping area was really good and the bed bigger than normal was a big plus. The sleeping area was crowned by an air source heat pump that was well adjusted to a quiet sleeping setting. We slept really well in the listing! The sauna was really neat and atmospheric. The carrying water brought real cottage vibes. The cooking was a great success in a diverse summer kitchen. The home has a large deck and a large covered area where it was nice to hang out, both in the rain and the shine. Our dog was also very comfortable at the property. Communicating with Marko and Marjo was really easy and natural! Messages were always responded to, and everything went so smoothly. We highly recommend this place!

We stayed there for few days in April 2025. It was just after the lake was unfroze. The area is stunning. Matti was an amazing, kind, helpful and giving good recommendation. We took a canoe and went for two days trip. And I think this place is absolutely perfect for that. As it is right in front of the water, you can adventure during the day on the canoe and come back for a warm house with a sauna for the night. Wonderful place, I hope to come back.

Great cottage by the lake. Absolutely ideal place to relax after work days. I recommend for commuters and vacationers alike.

If you're looking for some privacy and space here is a great choice for that. The vibe of a traditional cottage and everything worked just fine. The cabin and facilities are larger than what the photos suggest. We will definitely come back to this home.
