“You will be very pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a cottage. Perfect location for exploring the beauty of north Wales. The cottage is cosy but yet offered great space for a family. It has everything you need including extra towels, toilet roll, spare pillows etc. Kitchen is very well equipped with great cooking facilities and prep areas - loved the dresser and the lay out. Comfy beds and good shower too! Although we visited in August, we made use of the well laid fire to dry out our clothes from the heavy rain. Very cosy and pleasant. The garden is gorgeous with its mature shrubs and vibrant flowers. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.”
Cwt Glo is a cosy and peaceful cottage for two in Northern Snowdonia nestled between two mountain ranges the Carneddau and Glyderau. Cwt Glo is situated in a small village near Bethesda called Mynydd Llandygai. There is private off road parking next to the cottage. Cwt Glo is Welsh for Coal house and the cottage was the place where the coal was weighed and measured. The property has been both a farm and coal yard for the local area. Cwt Glo is a semi sustainable/off grid cottage it has a solar and wind system however there is the backup of mains electricity. There is also an LPG central heating and hot water system. The cottage has a wood burning stove to keep you cosy and warm in the evening after a busy day exploring the local area. We also provide the wood for your stay.
“What an incredible stay! The perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, yet you're so close to so many things to do! The house was amazing, the little touches like fresh eggs and cake when we arrived made us feel so welcome. The place was spotlessly clean and had all of the kitchen amenities you would need as well as games and puzzles for evenings in. The decking is perfect for stargazing and the view of the stars is next to none. We were so sad to leave! Would recommend Simon & Sarah's place to anyone.”
Welcome to our cosy, modern & well decorated garden bungalow in Bethesda. The bungalow has a shower room & toilet, kitchen area with microwave, kettle & toaster (no cooker) & a separate bedroom. It has wooden flooring & is serviced by a combi boiler for those hot showers after a day of climbing in Snowdonia! Bethesda is home to Europe’s largest zip wire (Zip World) & is famous for its slate quarry. We are just a 5 minute drive from the mountain pass & 10 minutes into the city of Bangor.
“I recently arranged to meet up with some old friends in North Wales for a weekend, and booked to stay at Jo’s place as it was near to where my friends were staying and good value. Because I arrived late, it was dark so initially I struggled to find the house, but Jo’s instructions were pretty clear and I got the after a few minutes of identifying nearby landmarks! The cabin was small and cosy, I would say ideal for lone travellers or a couple if you’re planning on being out for most of the day (which you should, as there are loads of great local walks etc.) It was spotlessly clean and had all of the necessities (small kitchenette, kettle, fridge, tv, DVD player, WiFi). The bathroom was small but practical, and the shower had good water pressure/temperature. Very cosy bed, and the heating was set at just the right temperature to be warm and cosy after a day of walking out in the wet! Jo was a very responsive host, quick to respond and sent lots of useful local information prior to my arrival. All in all I can’t really fault this place and would definitely recommend it to others.”
