“Step back in time and history ... Peggy's place and hospitality were just so lovely. I would highly recommend this B&B ... right on Bayou Teche ... we even got to see a gator just floating around next to a very brave couple of turtles. Nature and history abound and Saint Martinville itself is just steeped in history (The Evangeline Oak is right next to the property). The home is just so beautiful; step back in time.”
My home is a Church, built in 1904, located in the heart of Cajun Country. One night stays are often available, especially on weekdays, but sometimes on weekends too — please ask!
“Cute little place, cozy and amazing for sitting back and relaxing. Had everything we needed and even more. Rien is amazing at communicating and will answer back quickly! Overall, perfect vacation that you will never want to leave!”
This is the perfect bayou getaway in the heart of Cajun Country. It overlooks Bayou Amie, which is adjacent to the Atchafalaya Basin. It’s also within minutes of genuine and authentic Cajun cuisine (Landry’s and Pat’s) and local fishing and boating spots (Atchafalaya Basin). With a deck overlooking the water, a comfy bed, and plenty of outdoor space, it covers all points of interest! A great hideaway spot for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families!
“What a great place on Bayou Amy (Pronounced ah - me). I was able to land a few fish (sac-a-lait) which made a great local dinner for my wife and I. I don't understand a previous reviewer's comment that it isn't an appropriate place for people in their 60's. I am in my late 60's and found that the place exceeded my expectations. Kitchen was well equipped, the artwork throughout the house added to our enjoyment, the space was comfortable and pleasant.”
