“I have a good kwento (story) to tell ;) My team and I went here yesterday without any expectations. All we want is a quick break from work and just chill. And friends, it didn't disappoint. It gets more relaxing as the day goes by. The faint sound of waves from the ocean, about 2-3 minutes away from our room, is mixed with non-mainstream/indie music echoing throughout the place. Talk about relaxing mash-up. At night, the divine breeze from the ocean and the cold Christmas weather lingered on our skin. Quite a serene spot for a chill night if you want to do chikahan over chips and beer (which is, by the way, not that expensive if you ask me.) They even lend us woven mat so we can (day)drink and chill by the shore. Like what I said on one of my IG stories featuring the beautiful sunset at Liwliwa, the whole experience kinda makes our adulting city life suck by 200%. Though a part of Kwentong Dagat is still being developed with more rooms, it didn't hinder us from absorbing all the zen, province vibe this place exudes. The air-conditioned cabins/villas look quaint, exotic, and artsy with or without your VSCO filters. Comfort-wise, you'll get what you paid for. Pillows could use more stuffing for me. :D For pet lovers, there are 3 adult aspins – all are docile, sweet, approachable, and super charming. There are cats too! (Not a cat person so I won't tell you anything about them.) If you wanna have a nice story to tell about how you used your weekend (or your fake Sick Leaves at work hahaha), consider this place as your setting. :)”

“Art and dennard were amazing hosts. They were very accommodating and responsive. They didnt charge us extra for having extra guests on day trip. Dennard even accompanied us island hopping. Location was excellent... Close to public market and convenience store and a few minutes walk to the beach which was one of the cleanest beaches i’ve seen. The living area is very spacious and bright with extra height ceiling and sparse furniture which was great for us with little kids who love running around. They also love the wide screen tv with netflix and wifi. Main Kitchen was big, clean, and well-equipped for a big group and there’s a cooking/dirty kitchen in the back. Water dispenser with hot and cold water was a plus. We were able to grill in the roof deck and it would have been nice to dine there in the cool evening. Outdoor shower at the back was great with nice pressure. Hanging rods were much appreciated, but one needs some repainting due to rust. The only areas that needed more attention were the two bathrooms and cooking kitchen. The faucet in the common bathroom wasnt working. Bathrooms didnt smell too clean and we had to ask for tissue paper which they must have forgotten. I would suggest to install light colored tiles for easier cleaning and bring in more natural light. The small window and ceiling light wasnt enough. And it would be more comfortable if they installed a bidet (the tabo system made the floor always wet), water heater (a must!), and exhaust (to freshen the air). The shower needed some good scrubbing. The cooking kitchen needed more organization and cleaning. The cleaners must have been in a big hurry to finish because we arrived early, but we did go straight to the beach to give them more time. The 3 bedrooms can easily accommodate a dozen guests. The beds were comfy and sheets were clean. They could use a night stand with nightlamp (so we could read a book before bed and didnt have to sleep in total darkness), and nicer pillows (some were too thin, others were lumpy from age). More sheets would be nice for colder nights. They were very generous with towels which was great. The lounge sofas were comfortable but the bench seats at the dining table were not so comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the fresh vegetables and seafood we bought from the nearby market. We love san felipe! And we’ll be back for R&R.”
The Fishers (The Fishers Liwa) is seated at the center of the chill and laid back surf spot in the town of San Felipe Zambales. The owners, Kay and Carlo, run the business to share their love of nature and inspire guests to embrace simple living, sustainable and responsible tourism.
“Kay and Carlo was accommodating. They let us check in at 10 am since we arrived early in The Fishers Hut. The place was peaceful and serene. It is everything you would expect from the photos and reviews given by travelers. If you need a time of from your hectic schedule at work or just want to keep your mind off of things this is the place to go. You can meditate, eat, drink, read, swim, and smile to your hearts desire. Once you go there free your mind and enjoy the moment.”
